Purdue Celebrates Black History Month

SUMMARY

Purdue recognizes and celebrates Black History Month each February (and beyond!) with stories about the giant leaps made by Purdue’s outstanding Black faculty, staff, alumni and students. Marketing and Communications will add profiles, videos and student-interest stories to this content package throughout the month. This content is in recognition of Black excellence and is designed to enhance the cultural, social and academic development of the entire Purdue community.

STRATEGY

Marketing and Communications has assembled assets for use by campus communicators on their own channels. This document provides guidance on how to leverage these assets for optimal impact and will be updated and expanded as new materials are created throughout the month.

All assets are evergreen. Campus partners are encouraged to download and integrate the content into editorial plans during the month of February and beyond, to share the stories of Black Boilermakers on a consistent basis, not just during a single month.
