Whether you’re creating a social media post, a video or a written feature story, always keep your target audience’s wants and needs in mind. Who is your ideal consumer of this content item? What are they looking for? What do you have to tell them that will make them stop what they’re doing and pay attention to what you have to say.
Most of us are overwhelmed by the flood of content that flows across our various screens throughout the day. Without a strong hook – whether it’s an eye-catching visual, a well-crafted piece of social copy that users enthusiastically share or a dynamic story lead that compels them to read further – you’ll be fighting an uphill battle in your efforts to convince them to consume your content.
