Julie Rosa
Vice President, Communications
Julie’s ability to build consensus and remain calm in times of crisis inspired a former colleague to dub Julie the “smoother.” Coupled with her astute insight and knack for identifying messaging issues and opportunities, Julie’s talents and servant-leadership style make her an indispensable member of the communications leadership team.
Julie is a 2026 Top Woman in Communications, recognized by Ragan for her ability to shift narratives, move organizations forward and help shape the future of the profession. She is honored alongside communications leaders from global organizations including United Airlines, Hilton, Target, Aflac and Google DeepMind — a testament to the caliber and impact of her work.
Three decades into her time at Purdue, Julie cites the brilliant, caring and inspiring people across the University for teaching her something new every day. That said, she’s the go-to expert for twirling a baton, and owing to her childhood experience in tap dancing, she can still do a pretty good shuffle ball change on request.
