SUMMARY
David Umulis was named the Dane A. Miller Head of Purdue University’s Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering, in July 2021. Umulis’ background epitomizes the classic arc of taking steps to work towards a larger goal, a giant leap. A key mentor gave him the courage to persist in his journey, and he now aims to “pay it forward”, serving as an influential and helpful mentor to those in the Weldon School.
