Finding Fit Part 2

SUMMARY

When a student starts to imagine life at Purdue, they’re on the road to accepting their offer of admission. Students find their fit at Purdue in thousands of unique ways – through engaging with campus traditions, diving into activities with student organizations or bonding with their newfound friends. Purdue student Kennedy Outlaw met her best friend on campus before even starting classes, and she is pursuing her academic passions with the support of a community of women in STEM. We hope to encourage students to accept their offers by emphasizing Boilermaker togetherness and finding a sense of belonging at Purdue.

STRATEGY

These evergreen resources highlight the spirit of the Boilermaker community and the ways students can find their fit on campus. For out-of-state sophomore Kennedy Outlaw, finding her fit involved discovering a true community among her peers and making Purdue feel like home. For others, participating in Purdue’s most famous traditions is a way to make lifelong memories. From fountain runs and jumping the tracks to attending the Old Oaken Bucket game, these traditions help prospective Boilermakers imagine themselves at Purdue, prepare to accept their offer of admission and get excited about making lasting memories of their own.
