PPHS Purdue Day

Purdue Polytechnic High School is a reimagined high school experience that serves as a pipeline to Purdue University. In April 2021, the first-ever PPHS seniors who committed to attending Purdue after graduation were celebrated through Purdue Day.

Accepting PPHS Seniors Into the Family

Purdue Polytechnic High School (PPHS) was founded on the goal of reimagining the high school experience for underrepresented minority students from Indianapolis Public Schools to attend Purdue.

For this event, 37 PPHS students who had accepted their admissions offers were celebrated for their decision, with activities for all students, as well.

From temporary locations in downtown Indianapolis to the revitalized PR Mallory Building, PPHS students shared a sense of accomplishment and growing feelings of Boilermaker pride.

The day was documented with student interviews and through photography and videography. The excitement of the event resonated clearly through coverage.
