Going deep with the Data Mine story

Unlocking the true potential of data is the way forward in countless ways. But it takes more than simply teaching data fluency–it takes building a whole living-learning community around the idea. That’s the mission of the Purdue Data Mine.

Developing a new generation of data-fluent individuals is a compelling pursuit. So we built a storytelling strategy and created brand positioning guidelines around The Data Mine. This way, content creators had the tools to share how this community of researchers, teachers, learners and industry leaders is taking this next giant leap in data, together.

It didn’t take long for this storytelling framework to make an impact across a range of platforms. In particular, the May 2021 Facebook post announcing the launch of Purdue Data Mine resulted in the highest-engaged post across all platforms.
